Dr Berg earned her doctorate in medicine at University of Missouri-Columbia Medical School and completed specialty training in psychiatry at the University of Washington, where she was chief resident. She is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
She was on the clinical faculty at University of Washington Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences until 1995. During that time she served on the Admissions Committee, the Graduate Education Steering Committee, and the Grand Rounds Committee, actively involving herself in the education and training of future psychiatrists.
Dr Berg was in the private practice of psychiatry in Seattle for 25 years before joining The Evergreen Clinic. Throughout her career her special interests have remained the accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of depressive and bipolar mood disorders in adults. She appreciates working closely with primary care clinicians to reach the best possible stabilization of mood and enhance overall health for the people she sees.
